Zok's will be conducting hands-on basic beer and wine-making classes (with samples) at the Willimantic location. The initial class will discuss basic sanitation, startup and equipment/costs. Either a brewing or wine-making video will accompany the first class, depending on your interests. There will be a Q & A session following, with either wine or beer samples provided. All classes are hands-on, with students involved with every step of the beer or wine-making processes. At the second class, a concentrate, or juice wine will be made/or a basic extract beer. Class three will also be a hands on session, with siphoning (racking) accomplished. There will be on going sanitation procedures demonstrated at all sessions. Class four will be a bottling and corking /capping session. The final session will be a potluck food and tasting class with and wine or beer made by the students. Brewing classes may continue on with more advanced classes including partial mashing, etc. Advanced classes using grain only brewing can be arranged.
