Zok’s Brewing & Winemaking Classes
Zok's will be conducting hands-on basic beer and wine-making classes at the Willimantic shop. I will discuss basic sanitation, startup and equipment/costs at the initial class. Either a brewing or wine-making video will accompany the first class, depending on which class you choose. There will be a Q & A session following discussing costs, times, etc. All classes are hands-on, with students involved with every step of the beer or wine-making processes. A concentrate, or juice wine kit, or a basic extract beer kit will be made at class two. Class three, I will discuss and demonstrate the siphoning (racking) process, and the sanitation procedures involved. Class four will be a bottling session with a demo and student involvement on capping or corking. Class five will be a potluck party! All students are asked to bring a side dish, a companion and a bottle or two of your homemade beer or wine to share/trade with your fellow students. Advanced brewing classes will be available for those who wish make the jump to all grain brewing, including mashing, sparging, etc. Times can be arranged.
